Walkie Talkie

Push-to-talk over the mobile network (PoC): press one key and the whole team hears you, anywhere in Singapore, with none of the range limits of a conventional radio. Rugged Android handsets and 4G keypad radios for hotel, security and logistics teams, with dispatch software, set up and supported by us. Where a site wants a plain radio with no SIM and no network, we supply conventional UHF/VHF two-way radios too.

Rugged push-to-talk smartphone

FHD+, 120 Hz, 680 nits peak, Gorilla Glass 3. Runs the PTT app alongside any Google Play app.

Two shortcut keys: set one to push-to-talk, the other to torch, camera or any app.

2 × 4800 mAh. Change a pack without switching off — a call stays connected.

Dual drivers, about 2.6× a normal phone: heard over machinery, traffic and wind.

64 MP main and 20 MP infrared night vision for patrols and inspection; 32 MP front.

Survives 2 m drops, 2 m immersion for 30 minutes and high-pressure wash-down, at about 320 g.

Press and talk to the group. Calls go over 4G, so distance does not matter.

Shows the talk group, who is speaking and the signal.

Physical keys, no touchscreen to learn.

Nationwide coverage over the mobile network, no repeaters to install.

A full shift and more on one charge; explosion-proof build for plant and engineering areas.

Press and speak: the radio sends straight to the others on the same channel.

Turn the top knob to change channel; the smaller knob switches on and sets the volume.

A short antenna on top does the work: no SIM, no mobile signal and no data plan.

Shows the channel in use, so staff know which team they are talking to.

Front speaker and microphone for hands-free listening on the belt or in the hand.

A battery pack that clips on at the back and charges in a desk charger.

Types

Three kinds of handset

The first two talk over the same PoC system, so a team can mix them. The conventional radio is a separate system that needs no network at all. The choice depends on the site and on what else the person needs to do.

Why PoC

Compared with a conventional radio

PoC suits teams that spread over several buildings or move around the island. A conventional radio is simpler and stays cheaper to run when everyone is on one site.

Island-wide

Over the 4G/5G network, so a basement, a second building or the other side of Singapore are all in range.

Talk groups

Housekeeping, security and engineering each on their own channel, with managers able to reach everyone.

Dispatch and GPS

Dispatch software shows where each handset is, manages the groups and keeps voice logs for audits.

Apps too

The smartphones are Google-certified, so staff can use work apps from Google Play next to the PTT app.

Questions

Common questions

What is PoC?

Push-to-talk over cellular: the handset works like a walkie-talkie, but the voice travels over the mobile network, so range is wherever there is 4G or 5G coverage.

PoC or a conventional radio?

It depends on the site and the team. PoC reaches several buildings or the whole island and adds GPS, dispatch and voice logs, but each handset uses a mobile data SIM. A conventional two-way radio needs no SIM and no mobile network and has no running cost, but covers one building or site (a repeater extends it). We can supply either, or one for each team. Tell us the site and the number of users and we will recommend.

Do we need to install repeaters?

Not for PoC: it uses the mobile network, and each handset uses a mobile data SIM. A conventional two-way radio covers one building or site, and a repeater extends that range where needed.

Can a supervisor see where staff are?

Yes. The dispatch software shows each handset's GPS position, manages talk groups and records voice logs.

Can staff use other apps on it?

On the rugged smartphones, yes: they are Google-certified and install apps from Google Play next to the PTT app.

What happens when the battery runs low on a shift?

On the rugged smartphone, swap in the second battery without switching off; a call stays connected. The dock charges the handset and both spare packs.
